O Israel, trust the Lord! He is your helper and your shield. O priests, descendants of Aaron, trust the Lord! He is your helper and your shield. All you who fear the Lord, trust the Lord! He is your helper and your shield. The Lord remembers us and will bless us. He will bless the people of Israel and bless the priests, the descendants of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the Lord, both great and lowly. (Psalm 115:9-13) God is our helper and our shield. He is always there to help us and protect us. He will never leave us. He knows each one of us better than we know ourselves. He hears us when we cry out to him and he remembers us. He sees everything. I find great comfort in knowing that wherever I am and whatever I am going through, God is with me. When I need him, I can call out to him and he will listen. In knowing all of this, wouldn’t it then make sense to trust him? If he knows more about me and my circumstances than I do, wouldn’t it make more sense to trust him and submit to his authority and his plan for my life? Wouldn’t it make sense for you to do so as well?
