David’s enemies were relentless. They weren’t backing down at any cost. Once they had a plan in mind they pursued it with great passion. Sometimes our problems are just like David’s enemies. They are relentless, overwhelming, and overpowering. They cause us to be afraid to even face the next day. They wear us out and discourage us. They consume our every waking thought. How many of you know what I am talking about? It can be so difficult to keep your focus on God, while dealing with difficult circumstances. In Psalm 64, David writes about how relentless and passionate his enemies are about destroying him. He knows that only God is capable of saving him from the hands of his enemies. David had great confidence that God would protect him and deliver him from his enemies. He knew that God was stronger and more powerful than anything his enemies could come up with. The same is true for any problem that we face. God is stronger. He is all powerful. He is bigger than our problems. He is closer than our troubles, more present than any danger. He can handle anything that comes our way. There is nothing that is too difficult for him. If you are struggling though some difficult circumstances in your life, are you trying to handle them on your own? Or are you trusting God to handle them? Are you allowing him to have control? Or Do you have control? God will take care of you. He loves you greatly. If he is for you, who (or what) could be against you? “The godly will rejoice in him. And those who do what is right will praise him” (Psalm 64:10)
